Martha's testament A womans story in several chapters.

Welcome
Having a background as a textile artist I work in the span between crafts and art; between the challenges of everyday life and the flight of thought. I am inspired by the earthly: By raw materials like peat and gutskin, by smoothly polished stones and worn fabrics. At the same time I let my thoughts follow the geese plowing through the sky; even plowing through the world of poetry and philosophy. My sources of inspiration stem from aboriginal knowledge of survival, in Eva Hesse’s exploratory art, in Hans Børli’s poetry, and in Henri Bergson’s philosophy. These worlds I try to summarize in my own world as well as in my artistic expressions.  |
